We are seeking an experienced surgical dental assistant with at least 5+ years experience to join our team and Dr. Saunders in providing exceptional care to patients while learning in one of the most advanced practices in the area. We are a progressive periodontal practice located in the Woodlands, Texas and this position will provide the successful applicant the opportunity to learn and excel in the latest techniques and technologies. Responsibilities

Performs a variety of dental assisting duties, within compliance of state regulations, to promote quality dental care for patients in a stress-free, comfortable environment. Assists the doctor in surgery, teaches patients how to care for their teeth, communicates effectively with patients, maintains equipment and inventory, and follows universal precautions and all OSHA requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Must be able to endure long hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and adequate vision and hearing are needed in daily work.

Duties:

• Assist surgeon with a variety of surgical procedures
• Take CBCT scans
• Perform post-operative patient care
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control in the office
• Clean and stock operatories
• Assist in inventory of clinical supplies

Applicant Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Dental Experience Required
• X-ray Certified
• RDA Certified
